Cohort 01 — 10 Seats — Applications Open
Idea to launch-ready
in 12 weeks.
The accelerator for brick-and-mortar founders. A step-by-step operating system — not a course — that compresses a year of learnings into 12 weeks and ends with you launch-ready. Studio, shop, salon, restaurant, gym: if it has a lease and a sign, this is the system.
Run by the founders of The Lotus Method — brick-and-mortar operators who scaled in the SF Bay Area and New York City.
First-time founders don't fail from lack of passion. They fail from sequence mistakes.
The order of operations is the product. That's what this is.
What this is / What this isn't
- A weekly operating system with deadlines.
- Done-with-you artifact creation.
- A max-10 cohort of founders launching alongside you.
- Weekly 1:1 check-ins.
- Expert review at every gate.
- A video course.
- Motivation.
- Theory.
- A community you lurk in.
- Training you "get around to."
You don't graduate. You launch.
How it works
Three moves. Twelve weeks. One launch-ready business.
The centerpiece
The 12 weeks.
Each week: one mission, one artifact. No skipped gates.
Sharpen the concept, prove local demand before spending a dollar.
Build the model every later decision reconciles against.
Choose your funding stack — SBA, investors, friends & family — and go get it.
Score locations like an operator, not an optimist. Foot traffic, co-tenancy, build suitability.
Negotiate TI allowance, free rent, and guarantee limits before you're in love with the space.
Entity, permits, licenses, insurance — boring, existential.
Manage contractors, equipment, and inspections on a critical path, not vibes.
Menu, memberships, services, or SKUs — architecture that hits breakeven, not the neighbor's sticker.
Build the brand and sell before the space exists: founding members, gift cards, deposits, waitlists.
Hire your founding staff with working auditions, not résumé interviews.
POS/booking software, SOPs, schedules, KPIs.
Final launch checklist, day-one operating plan, and the 90-day system that turns opening week into repeat customers.
Ten founders. One launch window. Zero hiding.
Cohorts mix concepts on purpose. The coffee founder's foot-traffic math sharpens the salon founder's site pick. The gym founder's pre-sale playbook becomes the restaurant's deposit strategy.
The Operators
Built it. Scaled it. Kept it open.
Storefront OS is run by the two of us — a husband-and-wife team that built our own brick-and-mortar business, The Lotus Method, in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York. Every gate in this program is something we've personally been through. More than once.
Before The Lotus Method, I was an investment banker and a startup consultant for technology companies. That background is why I lead the money-and-paper half of this program: the financial model, the capital raise, site selection, and the legal gauntlet. I've built the models, negotiated the leases, and sat across from the lenders — for our own locations and for other operators I've advised, including food concept companies and other brick-and-mortar service businesses. I've also gotten terms wrong, picked a site for the wrong reasons, and learned what a personal guarantee feels like when the world shuts down. That's the part you're actually paying for.
The Numbers, The Money, The Site, The Lease, The Paperwork
I run The Lotus Method day to day — the classes, the coaches, the members, the morning schedule that has to run on time every day. I lead the half of this program where a business becomes real: concept and validation, buildout, pricing, pre-sale, hiring, operations, and launch. I've hired and lost great people, priced things wrong before pricing them right, and rebuilt our operating playbook more times than I can count. What I teach isn't theory about running a storefront. It's what's still working at 6am tomorrow.
Concept, The Buildout, The Price, The Pre-Sale, The Team, The Machine, Launch Ready
Here's the honest version: we're not qualified to run this because everything went right. We're qualified because plenty didn't — and we're still open.
We launched locations that worked and made calls we'd take back. We scaled to multiple sites across two of the most expensive, hardest-permitting markets in the country. We took a business built entirely on people showing up in person into COVID — and brought it out the other side.
You can learn what to do from a lot of places. What's scarce is someone who can tell you what it costs when you do it in the wrong order — because they paid that bill. This program is the system we wish someone had handed us at week zero. The successes shaped it. The mistakes wrote it.
Every weekly check-in is led by the one of us who has done that week for real.
Pricing

Who it's for / not for
- First-time brick-and-mortar founders with a concept and starting capital (or a credible path to it).
- Operators leaving a franchise, chain, or employer to open their own.
- Service professionals with a loyal book of clients ready to own the room — trainers, stylists, chefs, instructors, clinicians.
- Idea collectors.
- Anyone who wants inspiration without deadlines.
- Founders unwilling to pre-sell before buildout.
- Online-only businesses (we love you, but this system is built for leases, permits, and foot traffic).
